Relevant Facts about E10 in Germany

The Brazilian Sugarcane Ethanol Association offered institutional support to the German government to clarify and dispel any kind of myth about using the 10% blend of ethanol in gasoline, called E10. This document deals with the E10 and was delivered by the Emission and Technology Consultant by UNICA, Alfred Szwarc, to the Germany´s Minister of Transport, Peter Ramsauer. Letter to Commissioner Fischer Boel on sugar exports ceiling

The objective of this study was to determine the fuel efficiencies and emission profiles of flex fuel vehicles operating on different ethanol blends (E10, E20, E30, and E85). It shows that E85 that higher ethanol blends increases engine efficiency by improved energy conversion by up to 14 percent, compared to E10.
